Summary:
Education Pioneers is committed to building a robust pipeline of leaders to drive mission-critical work at education organizations across the country. The Director, Fellowship Recruiting will lead and manage the execution of our recruiting strategy to identify and attract a racially and socioeconomically diverse cadre of leaders into our expanding Fellowship programs nationwide.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to oversee a large-scale process during a period of significant growth. Reporting to the Director of Recruiting and Admissions Strategy, the Director will manage a four-person team and will interact with regional staff to provide updates and gather input on our recruiting and conversion efforts. This is a full-time, exempt position, which is located in Boston and requires 15% national travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and monitor execution of key process steps in the recruiting strategy
  • Oversee campus and employer outreach throughout the cycle
  • Confirm finalized recruiting presentation schedule
  • Oversee regional grassroots strategies execution and national conversion efforts
  • Support the candidate matching process as needed
  • Track progress and report out on key metrics
  • Lead on-going and end-of-cycle recruitment data analysis, to inform strategy implementation
  • Provide Regional Teams and other internal stakeholders with a regular overview of progress to date on recruiting and conversion targets
  • Identify and guide mid-cycle process changes as needed
  • Provide feedback on design of Recruiting and Marketing strategies
  • Review drafts of changes to recruitment strategy content to provide comments based on experience and process feasibility
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Director of Recruiting and Admissions Strategy
  • Review proposed changes to recruiting processes or approaches
  • Consult Director of Recruiting and Admissions Strategy on budget and staffing decisions
  • Coach, manage, and develop staff
  • Assess performance of staff and provide coaching to four person team
  • Identify development opportunities and career pathways for team members
  • Establish strong performance and accountability culture on the team so that staff are highly productive and grow professionally
  • Work with the Director of Recruiting and Admissions Strategy and the Human Assets team to identify, hire and retain high-performing individuals
  • Serve as the primary Recruitment contact for Regional Teams

Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience as a recruiter or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in an organization with a national office and distributed regional activities
  • Experience managing large processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to balance upfront planning and mid-course corrections
  • Proven ability to coach and develop up to four direct reports
  • High level of organization and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
